    HBB for 10yr old?

My daughter is turning 10 this Thursday. She previously had a Regent, but it expired. She doesn't pass the 5 step test for not having a booster, plus she wants one. She really wants a hbb so she can have something to lay her head on and sleep. Is there a hbb that would fit her? She is about 53"...

    Need suggestions for grandparent's car

I'm looking to get seats for my 2 girls for my FIL's car. He has a 2005 Altima. My girls are 2yr and 5yr. The 2yr old is currently RF in her Marathon in my car. She is about 29 pounds and about 50% for height. The 5yr old is in a Regent in my car. She is about 45 pounds and is about 90% for...

    Seats with highest RF limits?

Hi all! It's been a while since I've been here, so I feel really out of the loop. My youngest DD is currently 13months old and about 29 pounds. Right now she is ERF in a Marathon. We got it during the Feb sale and didn't get lucky enough to get a 35 pound RF one, so ours is only 33. :(...

    Not sure what to do.....

I took my car to the dealer yesterday to get repaired. Stupid me left the carseats in the car. Luckily my DH was off today, so it wasn't an issue. Due to limited resources right now, I have 2 options. Option 1 is to drive to my mom's house tonight (45 minutes drive each way) and...

Anyone know what the slot heights are for the Evenflo Titan?

    MA install questions

I finally installed DD's MA, but I have a few questions. Is it ok to use a pool noodle on the side of the base to help level it? The seat leaned to the side because of the way the seat grooves are on the one side (see pic). Can you tell me if the recline angle looks ok? Sorry the pics are bad...

    Wanted: Ashley floral comfort pads

I purchased an Ashley floral cover from Ebay, but it is missing one of the shoulder pads. It's probably a long shot, but I thought I'd try. I will buy all 3 pads if you want to sell them that way. Thanks!

    How much room left?

I am bad at judging the 1 inch rule :o Do you think DD has at least a week or two left in her SR? The first pic is of the cover pulled down, so you can see where the shell is (I know it's 1 inch from the top of the shell, not the cover). The second pic is just her without the cover being pulled.

    Apex65 instal questions

My mom came over to pick up DD for the weekend, and had the Apex 65 already installed by someone at work. It seemed to be a good install and was nice and tight. Unfortunatley, we had to undo it, because the harness straps were too low. When we reinstalled it, we had issues getting a tight...

    Tech class - days split?

I'm looking at taking a tech class, and the only one currently in my area is split up. The dates are: Tue Mar 18 2008 07:00 am 03:00 pm Wed Mar 19 2008 07:00 am 03:00 pm Tue Mar 25 2008 07:00 am 03:00 pm Sat Mar 29 2008 09:00 am 04:00 pm Since the days are not back to back, would it not be...

Wanted: Ashley Floral MA cover to trade

I'm looking to trade for an Ashley Floral MA cover and pads. It must be in excellent condition and from a non-smoker. I'm going to purchase a MA during the sale, and can get a current cover that you prefer. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

Any reason not to get the MA?

After going back on forth on several seats, I'm really leaning towards getting the MA for DD2. She's been hovering between the 50-60% for height, so I really think she is going to be short. I realize torso height is most important, but both DD1 and I have a short torso, so I think she'll follow...

Ugh, straps got washed. What to do now?

My grandparents watch my girls during the day. She mentioned that she wanted to wash the cover that goes over the seat (the cover that goes on top of the seat to keep her warm, not the actual seat cover). Anyway, I didn't think about saying anything to her and she ended up washing everything...

    You can't trust all FDs

My sister's SIL had her BV installed at a local FD and it was so badly installed! The 2 main things that I know of are that the seat was very loose (didn't even feel like it was buckled) and the seat was installed using the FF belt path (it was a RF install).:eek: Luckily she realized that...

I found the Compass True Fit for cheaper than Amazon!

Here The Compass True Fit is $189.99 at Amazon, but is only $174.95 at the above site. Plus, if you use the code "holiday05" you can save an additional 5% ($8.75). So, the total price is only $166.20, and that includes free shipping! The holiday05 code is only good until midnight on...

    Seat belt failure

Would the top tether help in the event of seat belt failure (harnessed FF seat)? I realize that seat belt failure is rare, although it does happen (Kyle Miller). My thought is that as long as the child is properly harnessed, the top tether would keep him/her in the vehicle at least. Is that a...

    Regent questions

Does anyone have problems with the Regent harness straps twisting or getting bunched? It seems like they always twist and also bunch up at the top, where it comes out of the shell. As far as tightening, I have a difficult time getting it tight enough. I don't know if I'm just not strong enough...

    I need a new seat - right?

As I posted in my other thread, I had decided on using DD1's old Triump for DD2 when she outgrew her Snugride. Well, I'm thinking now that I have a reason to buy a new seat as soon as I need it. I just remembered (after reading other threads about crashes here) that the old triumph was in a...

Will Marathon last until ready for a booster?

I'm deciding on a seat for DD2. She is currently only 14 weeks and in a SR. She still has plenty of room to grow in it, but I'm trying to plan ahead. With DD1, I started out with a 40# seat (Triumph) and had to get a higher weight limit seat (Regent), because she is outgrowing Triumph. Anyway...
