I found the Compass True Fit for cheaper than Amazon!

Here

The Compass True Fit is $189.99 at Amazon, but is only $174.95 at the above site. Plus, if you use the code "holiday05" you can save an additional 5% ($8.75). So, the total price is only $166.20, and that includes free shipping! The holiday05 code is only good until midnight on Jan. 1st.

Whoo hoo! Thanks for posting that! Still trying to decide if I should preorder or wait to hear reviews. Guess I'll check the return policy.

Return policy was unclear. It says 10% restocking fee, and must be new and in original box. Doesn't specify whether you can open it and try to install it or not. I'll prob wait- though I want something baseless, so it's pretty much between this and a Radian.

I would guess EPS based on one without a cover in this picture, but can't say for sure.

edit: the manufacturer's description on Amazon says EPP as well:

Product Description

From the Manufacturer
The True Fit Convertible Car Seat adapts better and easier to more cars than any other convertible car seat. The removable head rest allows the True Fit to achieve a better installation rear facing because in more cars it does not lean up against the back of the front seat. The True Fit offers the comfort and safety features you have come to expect from Compass/The First Years products. It offers deep side wings that have been side impact tested, a full EPP foam liner that absorbs energy, and built in lock offs to provide a secure installation without the use of confusing locking clips. The pad is extremely comfortable to keep your child content on those long rides! And to save your sanity, True-Fit has a no re-thread harness¿which means less adjusting as your child grows.

Anyone get the coupon code to work? I tried it and it says invalid. Thought maybe it wasn't valid on preorders, but it doesn't specify that in the promo code details, and I put something else in my cart and it still didn't work. Help!!

Just an update....

I called strollerdepot and they said that your credit card would not be charged until it shipped. They also said that you could return it if it didn't install properly. However, it would have to be in brand new condition (with the tags attached) and you would have to pay shipping charges, plus a 10% restocking fee.

I'm very tempted!

Or....you could order from amazon, apply for the amazon visa, get $30 off your first purchase, and only pay to ship it back if it doesn't work - you don't have to pay the original shipping to you or restocking fees.

Just a thought:whistle:

I'm wishing I hadn't used my $30 credit to buy baby robeez booties so I could've used it when I buy her carseat come the Feb sale, but oh well.

Not a bad idea, but my credit sucks. I probably wouldn't even qualify for it.

That's a good idea. I decided to hold off on preordering from Stroller Depot. It's only a bargain if I keep it. Amazon has great sales, as well as free shipping often, so once I decide what to get, I'll be on the lookout from Amazon. And I haven't applied for their Visa yet either, so I'll save it until I order a carseat.
