Not sure what to do.....

I took my car to the dealer yesterday to get repaired. Stupid me left the carseats in the car. Luckily my DH was off today, so it wasn't an issue. Due to limited resources right now, I have 2 options. Option 1 is to drive to my mom's house tonight (45 minutes drive each way) and borrow her seats (Apex65 and Evenflo Titan) or Option 2: Buy a cheap HBB for DD1 (4 y.o, 42 pounds) and a Scenera for DD2. I'm not worried about DD2, because she'll be harnessed, but I get scared when I think of DD1 in a HBB vs a harness. OTOH, it would only be for the morning trip (about 10 miles). I will have my regular car back tomorrow afternoon, so it won't be an issue then. WWYD?

How early does the car dealership open? Our car repair shop opens at 7, I think. Could you have DH go and retrieve the car seats before you have to make your morning drive?

I would def try to find a way to get to the dealership. They may even still be open tonight, ours is open until 8:30.

Unfortunately no. The dealer opens at 7am and I have to be at work at 7:30. Driving from the dealership to my house is 35-40 minutes, and then I have to drive 45 min to work. :(

It was a great thought though!

How LATE are they open? Is there any way you could call and have them leave your car (locked) outside their security gate so you could go get the seats? Or ... do they keep the cars behind a security gate overnight?

I would drive the 45 minutes to get the seats, as it would probably cost me the same amount in Gas as it would to buy new seats.
