I'm curious if the airbags in the advocates would affect the kid in the middle with the seat being less protected on the sides?

I'd say its a very wide back seat since I can't get a britax to fit next to my radian in the corolla

They aren't airbags they are "energy-absorbing cushions on the exterior of the child seat to reduce side impact crash energy by 45% by diverting crash forces away from your child and providing extra protection for the adjacent passenger". This was quoted right from Britax's site. So I'd say the kid in the middle would be super protected.

Can't tell you how many people I hear saying "that Britax with airbags" LOL.

I don't blame them, I'd call them airbags too if I hadn't been able to touch them before seeing a bunch of pictures online.
