also, which one is considered the safest? is there one that performs the best in crash tests that everyone knows about? i thought i read a while ago that the graco snugride did the best in crash tests...
You can put a newborn in a convertible seat, but not all convertible seats fit a newborn that well. It would depend on the type of seat; I'm not familiar with putting a newborn in a convertible seat, but I know others on this board can address that issue.
