Under floor storage and safety?

The newest trend in a lot of crossovers and minivans seems to be the under floor storage in the second row. You know those little hatches you can open up and throw stuff in and never remember that they are there again?

What is the deal with those and safety concerning the load leg of a RF'ing car seat? Like the new Cybex Aton 2 for example.

Is this a no no stated by any manufacturers? Or has there been testing on this subject yet?

I'm looking at the 2013 Sante Fe which apparently has these new storage compartments so if anyone has one and wants to chime in on the vehicle in general, feel free!;)

The European seats that use load legs advise to take off the lid of the under floor storage and put it all the way down to the bottom (meaning you can't use the storage) or else use a different seating position, as I recall.

If we're talking US seats there's also always the option to not use the load leg in that car, since they're optional here. I see no point in paying for a seat with one if you're not gonna use it though! ;)

I've been told that you can simply load the storage compartment up with books or something else solid when using this type of car seat.
