With the weather being wintery/cold she could have been wearing a bulky snowsuit/bunting so harness compression could be an added factor in the harness ending up loose.

I agree, though, if the vehicle rolled even once, that's so much trauma on the head and neck, added with dad removing the child. He stated she didn't have a scratch on her, but traumatic brain injuries/spinal cord injuries don't leave marks.

It's just a very sad sad story.

I removed the seat from the base and waited for EMS to show up before removing him. They said he was fine, but I had the harness straps too loose while putting 3 fingers between him and the straps.
Interesting, with this in mind, that if the harness stretched enough to make seem improperly secured, the EMS was unaware that there might be that much stretch. I would think that in a multiple rollover if the baby was really loose in the harness she would have been ejected rather than still being in the seat as he said. I will be very very interested to see what the coroner's report will say as far as injuries and whether they would have been from striking the vehicle interior or just from being shaken around.
