Question Rear ended today, car seat question

We were rear-ended today on the highway. We are all fine and luckily the driver behind slowed down before impact. Not sure how hard we were hit.
Do the seats need to be replaced? Police did not come and no report made yet. I took my van to the collision shop to be sure, he popped the bumper back in place, and estimated only $500 of damage for scratches to my bumper if I choose to fix it.

What do you think?

Why didn't police come? A lot of seat manufacturers like Graco require replacing after any accident.

auto-correct on the loose..

I called the nonemergency number, as we were fine, and the police stated I could come in and make a report. I had also moved the car as there was an accident behind/to the side of us and I was afraid of getting hit again! The one who hit us left, she said our car was fine (stated she worked for an ins company) I did get her license number.

I would definitely file a report against the other driver! Telling you she worked for an ins company and leaving the scene is NOT cool, and is very suspicious to me.

Not sure what Cybex' stance is on replacement after crash... Do you have the booster manual to look in by chance?

I'd report her also. If she was in that big of a hurry I would have called 911. I hope your able to get her info.
