Proper carseat

Hello, my daughter is 4yrs old and weighs 30lbs. She has cerebral palsy, dandy-walker Malformation and epilepsy. Although she is 4 she is unable to hold her head up 100% of the time. We have a Graco Sequence 65 convertible carseat that we have been using rear facing. Just recently we had to get a new vehicle in order to fit her wheelchair. My problem is that the carseat no longer fits rear facing while in the reclining position. We have been forced to forward face her now. But she can't hold her head up! Is it still safe to use the recline position while forward facing? Is there a better carseat out there I can buy that will give her better head support? Please send help as we are in the car a lot for Dr appointments and it's vital we use the proper carseat for her.

Hi!

The manual specifies that you can use recline 4, 5, or 6 forward facing. (The manual is always the place to go for this info, and should be used each time you install the seat! 😊)

If 4 is not reclined enough for her, then you shouldn't use the seat forward facing for her.

If you would like to share details of your vehicle, I would be happy to troubleshoot getting the seat to fit rear facing again if needed. If that just doesn't work, we may be able to recommend a different seat that will work better for her.
