Question Need 2nd Seats for Saturn Ion RF to 35lbs...

....but taking up a little less depth than Marathons? I would love a cheaper alternative to the marathons that are still RF to 35lbs and will maybe not be as hefty as the marathons. Is that a physical impossibility? My DH is 6'3"and for him to sit in the Ion, we just can't fit our Marathons RF. Since these will be second seats, it would be fabulous to find cheaper alternatives, but I am just not in the know. Thanks SO much for your experience and advice!!!

Ok what about the Scenera? I have read a few good things on here, but WHY is it so cheap? For once the low price is deterring me....am I missing something?

The Scenera is ok for a cheap seat. But it has no padding or foam. If you can spend a little more, the Uptown or Avenue have EPS (I think) foam, has a slightly taller shell, and higher harness slots, so it will last a while longer. So the Scenera would be fine, but personally I would go for the Uptown or Avenue if you can spend a little bit more.

The Scenera's are fine, I actually have 2 that I use as spare seats. But, they are VERY lightweight, and I find that getting them installed rear-facing can be tricky in the Saturn. They tend to want to stand straight up, requiring noodles and sometimes a locking clip. I would second the Avenue or the Uptown, as they are just a little heavier and I haven't had the same problem with them.
