yeah, I know good strollers exist. I just want one that's reasonable in price- like the Avenue of strollers. I don't need all the bells and whistles, just something that will shade dd, allow her to sleep lying down, hold our junk and dh won't complain about pushing (though he'd rather just carry her anyway).

A used P3 on Craigslist. If you want to link me I will look for you :)

Nice basket

Great recline seat with side wings for her to lay her head against when she is sleeping

Footboard for DS to step on to *if* needed

Should be easy to find used.

Handles extend up for tall DH. He shouldn't kick it

Nice Canopy

Easy to steer

Easy to fold up and folds quite small for a full-size stroller

Will be able to resell for what you paid and maybe even more.

Crunchy,

This was my $90(older P3, I think it was an '03 or '04) find on Craigslist a few years ago:

Clickable thumbnails.

Here is a video of me folding it, and also demonstrating some of the features (adjustable handlebars, canopy, child tray, locking front wheels, floating harness, leg rest, etc...):

LOL, that link brought me back to this thread.
Sorry, I can't help, well haven't looked yet, but I thought there was a stroller that had a really big canopy, like an extention that went almost as low as the tray. I also thought there was a net type covering that had a UV protection in it. I have to look.

Well, by searching your color choices, I came up with the Go-Go Babyz Urban Advantage stroller.

This review is not impressive. :(

If you decide to try it, I'd definitely order from Target, so you can return it and not lose shipping. It looks nice, but one of the Target reviews says it tips over. I'd definitely want to test drive it before I commited to keeping it.

Honestly, I had an InStep jogger and I found it did just fine at fairs and off-roading. It couldn't function as a mall stroller since it was a double and had a fixed wheel, but I'd consider something like that with a swivel wheel. What about this one? The reviewer sounds like she's an experienced stroller owner... "Overall a fantasic stroller for anyone who wants to walk or light jog. If you are a marathon runner this is probably not the one for you. I have used a BOB, Mountain Buggy and Baby Jogger that belong to friends and I can honestly say that the Tike Tech Trax 360 holds its own for a much more reasonable price. If you are on the fence...BUY IT." It's $142/free shippping/save 5% with the coupon spring5. :)

Evenflo has the big canopy with the bug extension that goes to the tray, sold at BRU and Target

Combi has a big canopy that goes to the tray but cant remember the model, sold at BRU

The John Deere stroller on AlbeeBaby is a Peg Perego Centro - and I would avoid it. I had a Centro in anice, and while its very nice looking, has nice storage, etc etc....it does not steer or turn well at all - as a matter of fact I would say the steering on it is the worst I have seen.

If I were you I would go for a Graco Metrolite....I just got one in the Mondo print (Babies R Us has it for under $80 and BabyAge has it for about the same) and it is really nice. It has a good size canopy, nice basket (it flips down for easy access), rubber wheels, and a metal bar recline rather than a strap. It folds up nicely and is pretty light.

I'm guessing that the hood on that one is basically the same one that is on all the Peg's (sans P3) and those hoods are GInormous...the one on my John Deere GT3 was so big that I ended up taking it off 99% of the time because the kid riding on the rear step couldn't see over it.
