I am always disgusted with my lap belt fit because i am plus sized. And have a baby pooch... Look at this poor belt fit....

I will never get used to nasty comments about how i will die in an accident etc... Is there any way to fix this, without a booster lol

Looks to me like the belt is still below your iliac crests making it a good belt fit. It looks high in the middle, but in the event of an accident it will be stretched tight touching the tops of your thighs. If it makes ya feel better, tuck the belt under the pooch. ;)

Now lets talk about the purple fuzzy thingie on the shoulder portion. That is a no-no you know. The belt will stay off your neck better if you let it rest between your breasts instead of on top of one.

HTH!

I know abotu the strap cover... Bad bad... Lol

As for trying to center the chest strap, it will not stay centered between my chest no matter what i do!! Perhapps because i wear sports bras idk. Lol

But when i try to cramp it under my fatt ness... Yes i am ok with my issues haha... The belt folds in half... Which is better?!?! Folded in half a bit lower or flat and too high?!?!

For what its worth in an accident we will be hurt anyways, we have made mommy/grammie decision to lightly brace our radian when we have advanced air bags. Its the only way it fits so she sleeps...

I know this can mean greater air bag impact for us but we r okay with that :)

So whats better :) lower and folder or two high...

I have yet to see a seatbelt that can handle big boobs encased in a sportsbra or nursing cami. I've had a few that adjusted well if I was wearing an expensive underwire bra that totally lifted and separated my boobs. I don't wear those while lactating, though.

I am built about the same as you and I have EXACTLY the same problem. The shoulder belt will NOT stay between my super-boobs. It's worse in a sports bra or nursing cami, but it's bad enough in a "regular" bra. The better the bra fit, the better the belt fit, but it's never great and I simply can't afford to spend $80/bra all the time for bras that fit really well... if I can even find one at all.

I have the same problem with the lap belt, too.

This is why I wish I could ride in a harnessed seat. I feel a 5-point would fit me better. *sigh*

I find that having a "pooch" is helpful, since i just put my lap belt below it, and the fat holds it down.

I would definitely put the lap belt below the fat because you do NOT want that bruising your fat if you get in an accident, talk about painful!

Fortunatley, i have always had that pooch... Always, just got more skin then it used to... Sucks to have this conversation at 20 years old lol. Worth it though...

I shall try it today. And trll me about how much that would hurt, my insides still are bruised and riddled with scar tissue lumps... 19 months later......
