Dropped car seat from counter

I have a chicco car seat and while I was getting my daughter settled in the swing our cat knocked it off the counter 3 ft onto our tile kitchen floor. Is the seat still safe to use or should a new one be purchased?

Hello,

3 feet is not a major drop. If this is your only car seat, you should inspect it for any obvious damage and contact Chicco directly for guidance. If it appears to be in good condition, you should be able to continue to use it, at least until you have a replacement, unless Chicco advises otherwise.

Chiming in to add that falling isn't the same as a crash- they would impact different parts of the seat. So as long as there's not visible damage you're likely fine.
