Question about it... the latchs for ffing... is this seat only compatible with newer vehicles with latch points?

All carseats in the US must be able to be installed with a lap belt only. So no, you can use this without LATCH. The rigid lower anchors are just supposed to be easier.

Correct. Vera confirmed that yesterday in the Clek FB chat. Can be installed with a lap belt, but needs a TA for a FFg install.

ETA and no snarky comments about *me* participating in anything car seat manufacturer related in FB. Vera gets props, she's going to check out how Foonf installs In a CX9 and post photos here.

The words they used on Facebook were

The seats are coming off the line next week and we will get them out to your stores as they come off the line. Keep in touch with your retailers for delivery details.

Well I don't know then. This was from a tech that works at a Canadian retailer getting the Foonf. :shrug-shoulders: Maybe she misunderstood what they told her store.

A few online retailers have them shipping oct. 17th - right start or albeebaby, I think.

What you may be hearing is the difference of when the flagship stores get their preorders and when the other stores get their regular shipments. There could I fact be a good number of weeks in between them. While they have not been too great giving clear shipping schedule, they have spelled out that not everyone will get them at the same time. They have always said that most flagship stores put orders in for the first batch a loooong time ago and will get the first batch. Other retailers like amazon.com will get it after that. That being said a preorder from amazon that I friend put in has a ship arrival arrival date of Oct 17. I ordered from albeebaby, the flagship they mention most and I have not heard any exact dates on my order yet, but they said they would write me before shipping. (I set that up so I could make sure I had that kind of funds avaible on my card and frankly if I still needed them or if I had to buy others)

When I emailed them a while ago they said Albee would be one of the first online retailers to receive their Foonfs.
