Britax - pronunciation change

Vowel followed by a consonant followed by a vowel means the first vowel has a long sound!

If they want to change the pronunciation then they better ad another T!!:akimbo:

English rules are anything but rules LOL. We've already got Britain, Britannia, and British with short Is. At least it's consistent now.

Well, then, use the short i in Canada - - Cane-A-Da in Britain (Brit-tan?), and will keep Breye-tax here in the US:D

But is it Brit-ax or Brit-tax, either way it doesn't roll on my tongue, never did, would rather BrEYE-tax.

How do you change names like that? It's like "Yeah, my name is Lisa and I know you have been calling me that forever, but now you can call me Lissa."

I agree I wonder if I can change how I pronounce my name to be cool like them :D Currently its Care-ee but maybe it should be Car-ee (Apparently because the way my mom spelled its should be Car-ee anyways)

Knowing how to pronounce Britax used to be what allowed me to feel superior to other moms. All I can say is, Chicco better not start pronouncing their name "chee-koh" or I'll have nothing left!

I try to avoid saying Chicco, because even the other CRSTs look at me weird when I say it "right".

Well BritaxUSA didn't get the memo because I just called them and their VM message was BrEYEtax

This amuses me :p Maybe they're starting in the north, where we're more familiar with the British way of doing things, and working their way south?

Only if you start saying that you live in A-meer-eye-ca. ;)

I could never get myself to say it right and always say Brit-ax so glad to see that the company now agrees with me!

Isn't britax a german name rather than british? I say brEYE-tax because german tends to use long deep vowel sounds(like those in wurst and beer and lederhosen). Off to google I go!

We could be like my DH and call it "the cow seat company".....he calls Sunshine Kids/Diono..."the company that makes the seat I don't like"
