Done with RF - outgrew MA by weight

I'm kind of sad to end our RF journey:( Taylor is 4 yrs 7 months and just hit 35lbs and outgrew her MA RF.

Am I right that it's unusual to out grow the MA by weight before height? She's got lots of room heightwise - only on the second slot and at least a few inches above her head!

Here's my little peanut and one from her first ride in her MA.

Both of my kids outgrew the MA (we had the 33 lb version) by weight before height.

Congrats on rf'ing her so long! You did great, mama!

That was Piper, too. Four years eight months or so, 31.5 pounds naked in a 33 pound Britax Wizard. The old ones were taller with a lower weight limit, so it wasn't terribly uncommon. The new ones will almost always be height before weight since they shortened the shell and upped the weight limit.

Holy crap -- her torso is maybe 1/2" longer than my 12 month old's! She's just bumped up to the second slots in the RA50.

Way to go, that's terrific!! We have a classic MA and I feel that it will be outgrown by weight first in our case as well.

I *think* - though it's been a while - I think one of my girls outgrew it by weight before height. I turned them both at the same time since I try to keep their car seat set-ups equal.

FF I think most kids never see the weight limit but rf with that particular seat - yeah. You can hit weight before height.

My older DD outgrew our Marathon by weight even though she has a super long torso. I think my younger DD will outgrow it by weight as well.
