I LOVE our Recaro Performance booster!
The only dumb thing is it's a high back only, it doesn't convert to backless.
That's ok for me because backless boosters are cheap and by the time he's in one, one or more of my girls will 5 step and he can use their backless boosters.

Does anyone know if the recaro performance booster is compatible with a Dodge Grand Caravan 3rd row outboard annoying shoulder belt?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Maxi-Cosi Rodifix for our new van. I need something easy to buckle and with guides that can accommodate a funky belt that twists...

Others on my list before I hit those issues were a Kiddy World Plus, Performance Booster, and Cybex Q- or M-fix.

Which can do you have? I was going to get a rodifix for my 2012 ody but was told its incompatible with the 8th seat, where I wanted it. I ended up with a Performance Booster and moved it outboard, putting my 14yo in the middle.

If you get it and it works, let me know! I looked into the Cybex too but nobody knew if it would work.

I have a 2013 ody. I'm looking to use it 3rd row outboard. It looks like it SHOULD work. I've heard mixed things. I am buying on Amazon for ease of return If needed lol.

My problem with the Cybex boosters in the end Was that they require you buckle them in even when using LATCH. If I'm paying for LATCH I want that feature.

That and Maggie is having a hard Time buckling herself. In thinking between no armrests and putting a pool noodle ring to prop the belt, that Will be easier.

I was just considering the cybex Q or M-fix because of the awesome tech discount. I have been looking at them for the last 2 hours online. lol. I think I'm leaning more towards the M if I do go that route.

I have a cybex m or q fix (I can't remember what it is). I really like it, it fits dd well. I'm terrible and never buckle it if it's empty but my manual doesn't say that it has to be (I have the European version). Dd is 4y10 months, 17.5kg (38lbs) and 110cm (43 inches).

Fwiw, the kidfit does come in nicer colors. This is the Zip in Blu.
Not terribly tall but love the belt guide and no headrest requirement.

Ok guys, took the plunge and bought the cybex M-fix with the tech discount today. I seriously could not pass up the amazing deal. Hoping it will fit where I want it (captains chair in a 2010 Chevy Traverse with fixed forward headrests). If not it will go in our 2011 Ford Escape. I may still end up getting a probooster but I'm holding off for now.:)

My M-fix came the other day. I installed it in my Traverse yesterday but I wasn't happy with the fit. So today I moved it to the Escape where it fits wonderfully. Haven't tried kiddo in it yet as he's been sick all week.

What is the tech discount from Cybex. I was JUST talking to them the other day and think I have landed on the M-Fix for our booster. Their customer service was awesome! There is no place remotely close to us to check out the M-fix in person and they were able to answer lots of questions about the fit for our specific cars. I forgot to ask what the discount is and didn't want to call back just for that question. I'm set on it anyway, despite discounts.
