Receipts needed - Done

I am looking for receipts for 2 Britax Marathons (purchased within the last 4 years) and 2 backless Graco Turboboosters.
A local mom's van was crunched this week and she is now fighting ICBC to replace these. If anyone can help, please email the receipts to me at selinajean@gmail.com Without the receipts ICBC is saying that they will only cover $75 per harnessed seat (barely enough for a Scenera!) and they are also saying that they won't replace the booster seats as they don't involve a harness! :thumbsdown:

Sale price doesn't matter, I know someone that had a CT RN $99 replaced w/ a new one w/ ICBC.

Thanks ladies! She yelled loud enough and they decided to do her a "favour" and are going to replace them with the receipts.

I'll look for mine - I think I only have a photo copy though because I had to give icbc my originals....I just bought 2 MA's in January from BRU - if I can find them I'll send it to the e-mail above

You mean they did it with OUT the receipts? That's GREAT and always good to know! I get them getting picky if you get a different seat, but when you're replacing the seat w/ the same brand/type of seat, it's unreasonable. And, the amounts they give are even more unreasonable!

Well she will have the receipts from the new seats to present them for reimbursement. They wanted the old ones to compare with too.

Yay! I can't believe it's so difficult to replace crashed seats depending on the insurer! We have public insurance here too and replacing a crashed seat is a complete non issue. Crash car, buy new seat, bring crashed seat and reciept for new one to claim centre, get cheque in mail. No fuss, no muss, no fighting. That's so frustrating that other people so much trouble.

We have public insurance, too. They're slimy and unethical when it comes to seat replacement. They neglect to tell innocent families that their seats are potentially unsafe, in order to save a buck, and then make people jump through hoops to replace seats with safe ones. THEN they act like they're doing you this huge favour by replacing them, when clearly you don't NEED to replace them..

Does any one happen to have a receipt for a Chico car seat 4in1 ? I got into a car accident the other person was not insured and now I have to provide a receipt so my insurance can replace my car seat

Unfortunately, this is fraudulent and unlikely to be a good idea.

Have you tried showing them the replacement cost with an online listing, or similar?
