Oregon meets Foonf.

It is Aron's Yaris. Hatchback, 2010. I pushed the front seat all the way back, and there was a tad bit of room between the vehicle seat and the Foonf.

lol stop making me want this seat!!! I just ordered 2 radians for my twins but i want the foonf. I just dont have an extra $500 to buy 2 of them. It was $495 for 2 radian RXTs. If i could win one then i could do it:ROTFLMAO:
Maybe for the new baby at next years tax time.

Any chance there was a 2 across done with the Foonf and ProSport in the MDX? (or any other combo seat or booster)

These pics killed it for me. I would not be able to deal with that enormous thing blocking my view. I always look behind me when changing lanes, no way I could see around that. My MA70 is high enough already. And I would not be ok with my kid's head that close to the roof of the car. Plus, I still think the fabric looks awful (though admittedly, I've never seen Clek fabric IRL).

I think we will stick with the plan of getting a Radian or the Peg convertible when we get closer to outgrowing the MA70 and TF.

Yeah, me too. I like what I see of the Foonf but seeing pictures of it in use, I don't think it'll be a seat we'd ever get. I use my mirrors and look behind religiously because my car has a fairly large blind spot and I think a Foonf would make it worse.

Also we've learned the hard way that a seat that's up high on a base is a bad option for RFing outboard in my car due to the C-pillars which slant substantially towards the front of the car. Getting a kid into a high RFing seat results in a lot of bumped heads for the kiddo and bad ergonomics for me, and if the seat has headwings it's worse. Our Boulevard is only working for now because I have it in the middle; once we have a second child and both are in convertibles, I'm going to need a Radian.

Foonf has such nice styling and as an engineer I really like the innovative features they've built into it, but the fit in my car isn't likely to be good and the price point is seriously high. I also admit that I think the green cover is just not a nice shade; maybe the Paul Frank covers are different but on general principle I wouldn't buy a car seat with an ugly cover.

We didn't try installing, but I am pretty confident it would fit. When I get mine, I will have a thread for installed and borrowing of the seat.

The features do look awesome. And I don't doubt they put a lot of time and money into designing and testing the seat. But I just can't justify $450-500 for a seat. It's going to be such a niche thing. Yeah, people like us will shell out that much. Maybe even celebrities if it gets marketed and talked up as "the" thing to have (hello, Orbit). But Joe Schmoe average parent?

At some point, I have to wonder where the break even point is. Charge an exorbitant amount (probably well over what it costs to make one seat, though I have no proof) and sell a few (ten, twenty, whatever thousand)? Or charge closer to the production price, advertise and make more readily available (in stores, not just the high end ones) and sell many more?

Is it just me or does it seem like it's lacking in leg room more than the recaro seats? Especially ff, it really looks like there is very little leg support. I keep going back and forth about this seat, but the leg support for me is a deal breaker! At some point my kids will have to be ff and I don't want to hear the complaints about their legs and backs hurting, and if I drop this much cash on a seat I expect to use it till it's highest harness position.

I have such mixed thoughts on this seat but I don't see myself getting one. The window blockage would annoy me like crazy. Plus it's huge height wise. I want to get my hands on one to play because I have strong doubts about this working to full functionality in my car. I mean a yaris is smaller but I think has more head room. The price point gets me too. I understand there's some innovative technology here but I'm not sold. By looks the cover drives me bananas too :-/

I'm a little surprised people are complaining so much about the height. Hasn't anyone ever driven with 3 teens/adults in their back seats? Their heads totally block your view. And their heads move when you don't want them to! You're looking over your shoulder past their head and they lean over to check out a text on their friend's phone, and then you crane your neck to look around one side of their head and then they move it back on you! LOL

Eventually kids will be big and out of seats and their bodies and heads are going to block views to the rear.

I would like to address the price a little. Yes, it is expensive. This is why I am throwing my coins in the Foonf Fund. But really, Britax has a seat for $380 MSRP already. Foonf starts at $425 MSRP. Not a huge difference. People looking the buy a Scenera as their main seat, and not the same people looking to buy Foonf as their main seat.

Yes, but heads are smaller than carseats. Also, as you've pointed out, heads can and do move. There are times I have to ask DH to move his head back so I can see past him at an intersection. I can't really ask a carseat to move. Well, I could, but I'd be crazy if I expected it to comply on demand.

With regards to head size, apparently you don't work with the people I work with...their heads are plenty big! LOL

And you'd be crazy to expect 3 teen girls to comply on demand as well. ;)

If something is going to be in my way on a regular basis, I personally prefer it to be static. I know what to expect from a static object; nothing. People in the back don't tend to listen well when they're all in a conversation and they move unexpectedly.
