VW Eos, 2 Britax Frontier 85s

I posted this in an old thread as well, so please pardon the double post (I'll gladly delete one if need be and if I can).

I have an 09 Eos and am working on installing two Frontier 85s in back. Luckily the seatbelts do lock. There are no top tether anchors and there's definitely no seat recline (the seats do sit more upright than most in back i believe). The carseat manual said the top tether is recommended but not required for all installs including LATCH, so I did install one using LATCH (though I'm having a VERY hard time getting the outer connectors in not upside-down... how big a deal is flipping just the outer one if there's no full twists and a very secure fit? It did tighten well still). The long belt path didn't work - belt's a couple inches short. I can't get an even almost tight fit with short belt path. Any advice? Please?

Sorry, it sounds like you have an incompatibility.

I wouldn't be comfortable using the seat in that small of a backseat with just the LATCH strap. I'd try very hard again for the long belt path to work as the shoulder portion acts as a kind of pseudo-tether for the seat.

I'll try... unfortunately I'm a nanny and these are the seats I was provided, so I almost have to make it work. Hopefully with my husband's help I can make the long path work. :-/ Appreciate it.

Have you watched the videos? I found them to be very helpful. A second person to hold the belt all the way out so it doesn't retract while you thread through the belt path can be helpful also.
