Unsure about Booster Mode instillation

My son is an inch away from growing out of the harness mode. I have the Britax Frontier click tight and it says it’s not necessary to use lower anchors and tether in this mode. Wouldn’t the seat move all over the place with just him wearing a seatbelt?

Hi!
The seatbelt will be holding both the seat and the child in in booster mode when in use. When unoccupied you need to buckle a booster in if not secured by lower anchors. You may if you choose use lower anchors in booster mode; if doing so, you only remove slack, not install tightly like in harness mode. This is just a convenience so you don't have to buckle the booster in to prevent it from going flying in a crash if the child isn't in it.
