To tether or not, and more.

So as most of you know I have a FR85 and a PWSGL, one has a tether and the other doesn't. So what's the difference? Is it because the FR85 is one piece and heavy. Which one would actually be safer? One in which the seatbelt is only restraining the child or the one the seatbelt is restraining both child and seat?

I feel both are incompatible in my car due to the shoulder belt twisiting and coming out of the guide and the PW seems so flimsy at the height it is, like in a side impact it won't even hold.

I seriously am not comfortable with either one. I tried a backless booster and the belt is across her arm.

Is the FR85 supposed to be tethered in booster mode?

I have no idea, I guess I thought you wouldn't use it after removing the harness.
