Suggestions for a light, inexpensive stroller

My son will turn 1 year in a week from today :) He is on the smaller side - just a tad under 20 lbs in weight, and in under 10-15 %tile height.

We currently ride him in the Graco stroller that we got with a travel system (which included a BF snugride car seat that maxes out at 22lbs). We have already ordered a Britax Boulevard so we can keep him BF for another year.

We are now looking for a new stroller that we can use when we go to malls, etc. The stroller has to be light weight and inexpensive (under $50), and preferably one with a canopy and some storage - although storage is not an absolute must.

I saw several "umbrella" style strollers at BRU but the wheels seem flimsy at best - it seems like they will be difficult to roll in some days since they are tiny! We definitely do not want to be walking large malls with those!

Any suggestions on which ones I should look for?

Is Craigslist big in your area? I would look there first if so. I see City Minis pretty frequently in the $50-$75 range and I think that would be a good one to look at. I got my Joovy Kooper off CL for $50 and I like it (it reclines, has a decent size basket and folds up like an umbrella stroller, but it's just a sling seat whereas the City Mini has back support)

Thanks jgomez411
I am in San Francisco Bay Area.. CL has decent usage here, but the only City Mini's I find on there are the ones with double seats.. I don't see any single ones. I will keep an eye on CL to see if any pop-up, but I really doubt they will be under $50 or so since they are $200+ brand new..

If there are other suggestions people have, please let me know so I can keep an eye on several models rather than just one :)

Along the lines of CL, quite a few Maclarens show up on ours in your price range. Just have to keep an eye out.

I'm actually not un-fond of our BRU umbrellas. They have held up really well... Push is not as nice as our Mac, but quite a lot better than the Dorel umbrellas.

Which MacLarens do you suggest? There are quiet a few Quest and Volo's on CL that fit right in my budget.. I would prefer one that will get him through around 65 lbs weight..

My daughter sat in a Triumph until she was 5 and probably around 45 pounds or so... The Quest is nicer than the Triumph. She's 60+ pounds now and rode (as a joke) in the 2011 Quest I just got off of CL. It definitely was heavy but we managed for the 10 minutes she tested it out for. ;)

Thanks everyone for the help. I bought a used Volo for $40.. Its a bit old (2006 model), but seems to be in very very good condition. Tires and straps are still good so it seems to have some good life left in it :)

Thanks again!!
