Stroller for Infant Twins

In regards to my budget on the seats and stroller ....

My budget can support the more expensive strollers and car seats if that is what ultimately seems to be the best way for us to go.

However, I'm all for keeping the price down when possible.

Do any higher end strollers take 2 car seats? I know the Peg Perego does but it's really long and I didn't love the Graco's I tested the other day either. Any other options?

Also keep in mind that it's not so much about the weight on the 30lbs seats as it is about the height.

Were your other three fast gainer's or more lightweight kiddo's?

The Keyfit and Peg will be outgrown in height somewhere between 8 months - 1 year. The SS1 lasts a lot longer heightwise, but not such a great option for small twins.

You could also get the Keyfit22 instead of the 30 if your babies tend to stay small for awhile. They are the basically the same seat (same features and everything), just different weight limits. The 30 goes to 30lbs and the 22 goes to 22lbs... the height limits are the same. The 22 is easier on the budget too. ;)

I don't know of any higher end strollers that take two carseats. Generally the carseats last for such a short time and the strollers last for such a long time that manufacturer's of high end strollers don't worry too much about that.

The problem is that there are only a handful of strollers that take two carseats at the same time. Unfortunately after that short time of "infant seat" usage you might not like the stroller itself.
I would focus on a snap n go for now, and then worry about a NICE double later. Get one you really really like, and spend the big bucks THEN. That way you can have the stroller for many years to come.

I appreciate all the advice.

According to what I've been able to find the Chicco Keyfit 30 is not compatible with the double snap n go either though.

Has anyone used these with the Double Snap n Go? Hopefully this is not the case.

You can also sell the double snap and go (or GET one OFF of Craigs list). and get your money/save more money.

I loved LOVED our single snap n go, and i just sold it. Bad move on my part for #3 due soon. Owell.

Hi, I'm a mom of twins. I second and third what everyone said about the Duoglider (I called it the Duoglider from hell).

Are you a member of your local Mothers of Twins Group? You might be able to get a slightly used double snap and go for a reasonable amount. My club has members constantly selling and swapping double snap and go strollers.

Definitely get infant car seats. It makes it easier for you to get places!

Good luck!

Yeah, but Maclaren just came out with their own Snap-N-Go type system. ;)
