Snugride 30 with Snugride 32 base

I have a Snugride 32 (DOM 12/2009) with 2 bases that I used for my DS. I'm due with DD in a week or so. I wanted a new seat due to the SR32 being very heavy and bulky for me, and wanting a newer seat with better Consumer Reports crash test ratings.

So I bought a new Snugride 30 because it is 2.2 lbs lighter, and got a "BEST" for Consumer Reports crash test ratings. The SR32 and SR30 are compatible with the same bases as per Graco. But the SR32 has the level on the seat while the SR30 has the level on the base. So how do I level the seat in the car where we are using the SR32 base, since in that car neither the base nor the seat have a level?

FWIW, if I put the old SR32 in that base, it is level, but I don't know if I can extrapolate that to the new seat.

I'd just install using the 32 and then check that it seems ok with the 30 if you're not comfortable eyeballing it. Alternatively you can measure the angle, I have an app on my smart phone.

To warn you, when using those together there have been some issues with the seat sticking on the base while the seat is set for a newborn.

Thanks!!

So if it levels with the 32 and it looks about the same with the 30, it's ok?

Bummer about the sticking, though. Is it a safety concern or is it more an annoyance since one could always take the baby out of the seat if it was stuck? I admit I was happy to see that the new seat had the new square buckle vs the old one has the "recalled" buckle (even though they weren't recalled for infant seats).

There is a red line on side of the carrier that you line up parallel to the ground to get the correct angle when using the seat without the base and with the 32 base.
