Sharing top tether latch point in Dodge truck?

So the grandparents are taking my son and nephew camping this coming week. Both boys are FF harnessed in Graco Nautilus seats. My mom would like to put one on each side, but then the middle seat anchor would need to be shared between top tether of two seats... is this allowed? Putting them side by side might be a bit crazy! :p FWIW, it's a Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab (so bench seat in the back). TIA!

I don't think any vehicle or car seat manufacturer allows sharing a single tether anchor for two seats. That runs the risk of the tethers failing in a crash. I would also worry about the tether straps slipping due to the seats being installed outboard and tethered in the center.

Many pick up trucks do allow you to share the middle tether. I don't have my latch manual at home, but hopefully someone who does will chime in.

Yes, if it's the kind where you route the strap through one loop and attach to an adjacent point, you can attach both outboard hooks to the center position.

Yes, it is allowed.

Tethers will need to go through the loop behind the seat and then clipped to the loop (or metal ring in the tether loop depending on year) directly behind the center seating position. Tethering two seats in this way is allowed per the LATCH manual.

ETA: I just realized this is the Canadian forum, does that make a difference? I'm not sure, it is allowed in the US

Yes, that is the way we do it in Canada too :)
