Saying goodbye to a good friend (pic HEAVY)

Started out like a love affair... my first

A boring pic, but at the time I didn't know how much I would cherish it:

Then we temporarily tried on some new clothes (it was short-lived):

Then we learned that great friends always find a way to work through tough situations:

And DD started to get too big. And while my old faithful was very good at somethings (quick installs, etc), other things didn't come so easily (less than stellar FFing results from TC).

And ... I got fickle. I strayed away, relegating my constant companion to a life of sitting by the sidelines, only to be trotted out for Grandma's car every once and a while. But then, another little person arrived, so once again my friend had a purpose in life:

So, today is the last day of a long, illustrious career. Once upon a time, I came to this forum, and in my very first post I made a prediction:

My name is Heather, and I have a 16 month old daughter named Taryn. She's about 20 pounds and honestly hasn't been measured in months, but is still on the bottom harness slot of her MA She's a bit of a peanut. The way she's going, I'm pretty sure the MA will expire before she grows out of it.

And today, I have proof (she hasn't actually ridden in this seat since she was around 3? It's never been FFing):

Aw, what a sweet tribute!
I've had several MA's through 2 grandkids and I know how you feel!
My granddaughter fit until she was 7 1/2.

I think I was more upset that our MA was crashed than the fact the car was totaled. (After I made sure DH was okay, that is).

Awww, that's sweet. I have yet to have a seat I love reach expiration. Mostly I've been glad to see the end of them, LOL! I was kinda sad when I traded in my '98 Century Ovation, because it was the first seat I ever bought. And I was disappointed I couldn't use the Breverra anymore because it was narrow and didn't have armrests. But I never really loved them.

Aww. I wish I had done something similar before retiring ours.

I saw a similar post a while back (I think it was the cactus - I mean Zactayaus's :p post, but I can't remember). A couple of these pics I didn't even know I had; I went back through 5 years of Photobucket, lol.
