RF Marathon in Traverse...Tethers

So, I have my daughter RF in the Marathon, in a captain chair in a Traverse. Fine and perfect. However, I am confused on using a tether, for a RF carseat. The manual seesm to show the tether going above the carseat and behind the seat...surely they do not want the tether straps above my daughter's head? I am missing a major point here?

That's one of two ways they allow. :) It's the more troublesome way to do it. You'll want to use the other method described in the manual instead, using the d-ring. :)

And if you can't figure out a good spot- it's ok to not do it. Rear-facing tethering is optional.

Is she on the driver's side or passenger?

Not sure if they've changed (since my '07 Outlook) but the driver's side was trickier. I wedged the d-ring between the plastic cover & seat track so that it was wrapped around the outboard seat track. (I pulled the string through when I moved it to a different spot, it helped keep a little gap to get the strap back in).

It was much easier to wrap it around the base of the inside track on the passenger seat.
