questions about CPS Certification

My local fees were over $250 so I couldn't do the class right now.

There's only a few places that do it in my state and the closest seems to be about 1 1/2 away. Not every place has lots of classes and most of the time I look there are no classes in my state.

If you're just doing it for yourself I think you'll get a lot of eye rolling from the other people from what I've heard, but who cares what they think!

yup it does, it's why my fees in Wisconsin are over $250 if I remember right :(

I'd LOVE to take the class.

The fee is definitely $250. It's just ONE of the reasons I had to drop the class I'd registered for back in July (the other---it was a closed class that had been entered incorrectly, they wouldn't let me take it. If they had, I'd have dropped because of the cost.). The woman I spoke to said the next class near me (Madison) would be in early 2008. I check the site every 2-3 weeks to see if any open classes are listed. :(

Madison is about an hour and a half from me (I'm just north of Milw) I really want to swing the class in the spring. I NEED to do this for myself.

I had to pay $60 for my class and we had catered lunch each day! Personally I would never pay almost $1,000 to take the class, maybe you should continue to look around a see if you can find one with a little smaller price tag. I also wanted to add that I took my class about 5-6 months pregnant with my third child...so I was really showing! I did fine and it was kind of nice because I didn't have to help carry carseats up to the parking structure we practiced installs in. Good luck with your class!
