How about this, what else can you get for that $500-$600 (depending on where the Euro sits at time of order)??? Any other hobbies you want to put money towards?

That is the biggest factor stopping me. I want one so badly but I can't bring myself to order it. I drool over it. DD2 is nearing five and is so done with RF but still I want just to play with it! We could afford it, at the expensive of another luxury type need (such as getting the girls a loft bed so they have more space. They have nice beds now). I'm not sure what I would do with a MT after the first few weeks but occasionally fondle it.

Not sure if I am helping but I totally understand!

I understand your lust for an MT, as I lust for one as well. But, as a nanny, I just can't bring myself to do it. They are not my children, as even though their parents turn to me for all things car seats, I still can't justify transporting someone else's child around in a technically illegal seat, when there's no real need for it. If the child was younger than 2 and had outgrown every rear-facing seat on the US market, I might be tempted to do it, but since that's not the case... I just can't do it.

But I still want one. Moooo!

MissAllyLou, perhaps we could share. I don't use the seat I have that often. I've wanted one too. I know, maybe I could rent from you on an as needed basis.:)

:yeahthat: I sadly came to this realization a couple months ago when O was outgrowing the RN rf at 2.5

Yeah, you guys are right, the legality is mostly what's stopping me. *sigh*
But... I've already been offering a MT for a couple of years down the road... maybe I'll use one for when I have my own kids.
