My dd 7 1/2 mos old 21# is currently in a RA RF. She has about 4 1/2 inches from the top, and in the middle slot-however I have a friend that wants to buy my seat (I just bought it about 5 mos ago, and only paid $160.) So I was thinking since I know she is about to outgrow it soon, I should go ahead get rid of it while I can and buy something else. SO the big question.... should I get the MA? or should I hang on to it as long as possible and see what she is when she really outgrows it to see if she is then forward facing and possibly go with something else? What would you do? Also- I need a smaller car seat for dh truck, right now the RA(we have 2) fits perfectly in the middle RF- MA is way way too big so what is something smaller that will accomodate her growing? Thanks in advance you guys are the best!!

It sounds like your dd has plenty of room to go in the RA. If you want to sell it now, since you have a buyer, I would do that and get a MA. I have both seats and love them! The MA will definitely last longer.

Since you still have a while to go before she outgrows the RA, you might want to hold on to that one and continue to use it in DHs truck.

I would definitely recommend keeping her RF as long as possible. With the MA (and RA), she'll be able to RF up to 33 pounds, but will probably outgrow the RA RF before then. She'll likely make it to 33 pounds in the MA, though. I'm sure some techs will chime in with the million reasons why this is safest for your daughter:)

When she outgrows the RA in DH's truck, there are other options for RF seats that some others can give you, but I don't think you have to explore them just yet. If she's got 4 1/2 inches of head room in the RA, she'll be able to use it for a while.

Good luck!

If you have someone who wants to buy your seat, I'd go ahead and sell it and get a Marathon or something. But she has 4.5" of torso growth (about 10 inches overall probably) and twelve pounds before she outgrows the Roundabout. And that's RFing. :)

Since the RA fits so well in your husband's vehicle, I'd keep that one (does she want one or two?) and get a MA for your car. She'll have 12 pounds more to RF in that seat, and she'll likely get to it height wise. Then at 33 pounds you can turn her FFing and you'll have a big seat with high top slots for her to FF in. A lot of kids make it to five or six in a Marathon. So you're going to get a LOT of use out of it. :)
