Question Options for Extended RF in 2011 RAV4?

Currently have a Keyfit and NextFit. Need to replace the KeyFit. We have narrowed it down to the Clek Fllo, Diono Radian RXT or another NextFit. Was looking for something narrow to allow for a passenger in back but it sounds like that's a pipe dream. Can I use any combination if the above to put a car seat in the center? Is there another seat I should consider? Suggestions?

The Radian is slim and actually installs well in your vehicle on the passenger side. A Nextfit is one I got a barely acceptable install with center. I hear the Clek Foonf does ok in the center too. No matter what you do, all three seating positions can't be used at the same time, though. So if you simply want a seat to be center (in the most protected position) it might happen, but unfortunately, you have a 4 passenger car with 5 belts to choose from.

Thanks! Will the radian fit RF? Seemed a tight fit and rested on the driver seat. I will try passenger side. Would the Fllo fit any better center than the Foonf?

The Radian fits well even without the angle adjuster, using some tricks to get it more upright such as pushing down by the feet and standing behind while installing. For maximum space, use the angle adjuster.

Unfortunately the Foonf barely fits center. Because the Fllo is lower profile it would not be compatible there. The Foonf, Nextfit, and possibly Britax ClickTight convertibles are the only seats that seem to be compatible rear facing in that center position, in my experience. But even if they are they probably won't fit next to another seat outboard unless it's narrower than the nextfit...

(Also, to maximize front to back space as well as safety for you, make sure the front seats are as upright as tolerable.)

Since the Rainer is wider, I'm not sure. Best bet is to try whatever you are looking at before buying. Do you have a buy buy baby?
