New YouTube video regarding ERF

Maybe at the beginning you can say "All these kids are over 1 year and 20 pounds and are still comfortably RF" or something, to make it clear they are ERFing but not too wordy and confusing.

I have nothing to add (info or pic wise, 42 lb 4 yo and 8 months) but look at our babies!!! Joshua is still in an infant seat, Camden doesn't have his glasses, and Piper is so tiny! Has it seen that long?

Yes, CRS made the last one. If you're making a new one, I completely agree not to have kids older than 3 or so, because we want to keep it realistic. For most people, RF at 4 is not realistic, nor does it need to be. Keeping them until 2 is great, and we should really push the 2-3 years, not kindergarten age.

I have been known to make some youtube vid's I have the programing on my computer also, if you want me to do it let me know. you can check out my videos her:

I really enjoy it!

If I do this I would like help with finding research, and information. Just let me know.

If you have the programs and think you can make a great video, don't be shy. Start a new thread asking for whatever you need. I just insist you use a picture of my DD.

The more accurate ERF videos out there, the better, IMO.

I LOVE the way the original video is formatted and presented. I think it should be very similar to that and just substitute older photos for newer photos and older recs to the new recs. KWIM?

I would love to offer pictures of my little sister and the kids I watch.

I don't know if this would be allowed. Can you imagine if the parents saw pictures of their children in a video that they were unaware about?

Be sure that if you contribute any pictures, you are the parent giving consent, or have consent from mom and dad!

If you would like to use a picture of Tucker RF PM me. I know she is 3.5 years, but she is only 36" tall and 26 lbs.

I'm not against anyone making new or different videos because if they are good, more links we can use

But the one under discussion is still so good (I just watched it against today :) ). The messages hit home well and really imho, nothing have changed to make those messages outdated, right? The fact that there is now the UK study to push for ERF to 4 yrs old or newer/more/better seats with higher rf limits are not the point in the original video, right? In general with most parents/caregivers, I push the point of not ff too soon rather than rf much older ie. to 3-4 yrs old (unless the question come to how old to erf to)

My 2 cents.

I would love to give some pics. It would mean alot to me to do that since carseat.org and that video is why my 2 and 3 year olds are rear facing and I became a CPST. I do agree with keeping the pics to over 12m and 20lbs and too young for kindergarden most parents can't imagine having thier 2yo rf.
so if I can give any pics please let me know.

Dr.Sears - whoever makes it should quote "Americas ped." He sent out an email recently about ERF.

I tried searching his site for his ERF recs. and holy spam-a-lot! It bogged down my computer like crazy.

I'm working on something.....but I'm not sure about it...it also doesn't have any pictures in it yet....but I'm just working on the wording....which I'm not overly good with...*sigh*

If someone else wants to make it, it wont offend me....it just gives me something to do in my spare time (LMAO....Uhhhh yeah).

At any rate I will post it when I'm done, and get opinions on it....especially from wiggles....since she has done a film class....maybe someone can tweek it and work with it...???

Since CRS did the original- we might want to check with her and make sure it is ok to use her wording. I wouldn't want her to think we were just taking her video and copying it. :twocents:
