I am ISO a seat for our second car. none of the kids ride often, but on occasion and often enough I need to have seats for them. its a toyota matrix. The combo of kids varies, based on what activities we are going to and who is napping, so i'm planning to frequently install/uninstall the NEXT.
I have a Scenera NEXT for the baby (4 weeks old yesterday). I need something for my 3 y/o to ride in. she is tall and 38# but obviously not ready for a booster. I have 3 older kids, ages 9, 7 and 5 who ride in LBB in this car.
The matrix does not have a head rest in the center back seat position, so I'm thinking of a FF seat there. i keep the booster seats in the back and install/uninstall the NEXT often, when baby is not riding. (and put it in the back end).
Baby rides RF behind driver. I'm thinking the FF seat center of back seat and then boosters in 2 outboard back seat positions when needed.
Thoughts on a good seat option? Would prefer lightweight and inexpensive, as may also use it for a travel seat. thanks!!
eta: looking at the Maestro on amazon for $56 or the Cosco Highback 2-in-1 at walmart.com for $39. any idea which has a higher top strap height and harness weight limit?
