Multiple Carseats

I have a 10 month old rearfacing (until 2 minimum) and a 3 year old forward facing, we are expecting our third child in December. The three car seats fit in our Jeep Grand Cherokee (2002) but they are all touching. I am wondering if this is safe? We are considering purchasing a new vechile if not. We were planing to put the forward facing in the middle and the rear facing on ether side.

They can touch, as long as they're each installed as if nothing is next to them, and they're not overlapping each other. So you'd install the one in the middle properly, then install the side seats. Remove the middle seat, and test to make sure the side seats are all still properly installed. Then reinstall, likely in the same order.

The middle has a top tether anchor for the forward facing child?
