My son is 9 year old. Will be 10 in June. He is petite: now is tall 53" and 60 lbs. Currently, he is using Graco Nautilus booster in 16 Odyssey, outbound seat. The middle seat is another RF car seat. He has tough time to install seat belt so I want to remove the back of Nautilus to make it easy for him.

Minimum age + weight for backless booster?

I would maybe look at a different seat for a backless, like the Harmony youth booster. The Nautilus is such a bulky booster, something else may fit better and be easier to buckle.
As for age/weight, there isn't really one. We often suggest using a high back until outgrown, but that is not always practical. Both my seven and nine year olds ride in backless boosters as that is what fits in our third row with little sister in the middle.

The Natilus is fine with backless. The problem now is tough to buckle car seat belt with high-back. I am asking if it's safe to the move the high back?
