I am hoping DH will let me go every year. It gives me a mini vacation too. I have never been to Oregon or to Tennessee.

I doubt Oregon is in my future, but I'm only a 10 hour drive from Nashville, a single stop on Southwest, and Nathan went to college there so he's got a soft spot for the town. So I'm hoping to go next year.

Next year in Nashville isn't that far from me, so it's not inconceivable that we may take MIL's 5th wheel. It's only about a 9 1/2 hours drive.

I'm curious about specifics, too. I'd love to go, but as a SAHM, that's a lot of money to shell out...though Oregon is closer than Nashville

Are there other conferences this year? (Not Lifesavers, but something else worthwhile?)

KIM is supposed to be very good, and is CPS-specific. Lifesavers is a general highway-traffic safety conference and has a lot of law-enforcement oriented sessions in addition to the Child Passenger Safety track.
