Is the Britax Diplomat a "mini" Boulevard?

Can the harness straps go lower than in a Boulevard? I know that the Diplomat probably wouldn't last as long as the Boulevard if it's not as tall. I don't have any children, I'm just interested in learning at this point. If I had children I understand they would probably outgrow the Diplomat (and likely the Boulevard) before they were big enough to FF and I would need another RF seat. Thanks for your help!

Basically, yes. The bottom slots are the same as the Boulevard, so they don't fit newborns well. They rear face kids often to 18-24 months (the Boulevard will get most kids to 2.5-4 years) and then forward face kids to 3-4 years (the Boulevard is 4.5-6 years, so some kids don't need anything more to rear or forward face in).

Yup. The BV is the MA with headwings, and the Diplomat is the RA (MA jr) with headwings.

I have BVs, MAs, a DC, and an RA, and if you are considering a Britax, there really isn't much point to getting a DP or RA unless your car is super duper tiny and has difficulty fitting a Britax at a 45 degree angle. Of these seats, you'd be best off going with a BV, MA or RA50 (basically similar to a MA/DC but no latch bars, no bells & whistles, and low harness straps for infants, but same tallest straps as MA) for the longest use. I have to confess, I find the BV wings a little annoying rf, but use one for ds in my primary car for the extra side impact protection (even though rf itself offers a lot of rf sip protection).:)

The Ra50 does not have lower slots for infants. The slots are the same as the MA.
