The shade is a dark purple.

I LOVE my purple BJCMD! Here it is, right after I first got it. I thought I had some with kids in it, but I can't seem to find them!

BAH. I totally DON'T need a stroller in my life right now. I really did not like the look of this brand/model, but everyone recommends it. I got to try one out and I'm totally in love, and I love the purple.

If I can find a decent price I may have to buy it...

They are $199.99 for the single and $399.99 for the double right now on Amazon, unlike when I bought mine and there was no sale anywhere!
