Infant Car seat recommendation

I am looking to buy an infant, rear facing car seat and want to know which is the safest on the market. I have been looking at the Britax B Safe, Safety 1 st with Air Protect and Chicco Key Fit. Could you please advise on the safest car seat available.
Also, I have a Toyota Highlander with captains chairs, so seat will not be placed in the center. Want to know if there is a best car seat for tgat situation.

Hi there!

There is no safest. All seats pass the same very string testing.

The Safety 1st onBoard, Chicco Keyfit, and Britax B Safe 35/35 Elite are all recommended rear facing only seats. They'll all work well in your Toyota. So the remaining thing to do is go and touch them and install them (Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby will allow you to try them in your car before you buy, otherwise buy and try them out and return if they don't work or you don't like them. If you do that, please leave all tags on and everything as untouched as possible, that will show the "open box" buyer that the seat is still brand new). See which you like to install the best, or which is easiest for you to use, or at least if one is less easy than the others. Then, when you've narrowed it down, you can really base it completely on stroller compatibility, color matching, fabric feel, anything like that. The important thing is that it's a seat that you can install and use properly.
