Hyundai Elantra (2007) LATCH weight limit

Hi! I just called Hyundai, and they were not able to give me a weight limit. I just bought a Radian 120, and it says there is an 80lb weight limit for the LATCH, but I know that the vehicle's weight limit may be less. So, I'm trying to figure this out. I looked on here, and could only find something about 48lbs, which was not convincing. Any help would be so appreciated! Thanks!

Hyundai currently defers to the car seat manufacturer for the weight limit.

For your car and carseat you can use LATCH in an approved position (on the sides) up to 80 pounds. Hyundai defers, and since the car was made after September 1, 2005, Diono says the lower anchors in the car, and the connectors on your carseat, will hold to 80 pounds (plus the weight of the seat, so more like just over 100 pounds).

If you are not comfortable with that, the LATCH limit for Diono seats for cars that were made before September 1, 2005, was 48 pounds. That's why you were seeing that number.
