Question How do i teather in a 1995 pickup?

my husband drives a 1995 GMC extended cab pickup truck and it just occurred to me today that my 2½ year olds FF seat should be tethered how would I tether it in a pickup?

Is your siggy current? Is he riding in an RN in that vehicle? If so I wouldn't worry too much about a top tether. The RN's have very low head excursion numbers even when not tethered.:)

Otherwise I'm no help cause I have no idea how you would go about getting one installed.

I doubt a '95 already has top tethers, so I would suggest calling your dealer and asking them if tethers can be retrofitted.

Any way you can get your hands on another RN or a Nauti for the truck since they both test very well when not tethered.

I maybe can get him a different seat in October after harvest I will contact a dealer and ask about retrofitting a tether

Contact the car dealer about getting a free one installed.

A Nautilus probably won't fit 100% on the seat. The seats back there are short.

As others have posted, the GM dealership should be able to look up the top tether anchor retrofit part information for your GMC pickup. Part numbers are not listed in the LATCH manual for retrofittable GM models because GM tether anchor retrofit parts tend to change over time, so I can't type up the part number for you here, but GM dealerships are supposed to have the current part number info. Additionally, if you're in the U.S., you'll need to refer the GM dealership to the pertinent GM technical service bulletin number 99-09-40-004a which has details about GM's policy of providing 1 free top tether anchor retrofit for U.S. owners of retrofittable 1989-2002 GM vehicle models.
