Honda CRV 2011

ok so my mom just got a honda CRV 2011....We will be going up there in about 10 days. She has car seats for the kids. Their weight I believe will still allow us to use the latch (29 lbs DS, 38 lbs DD) But in about 2 years we'll be heading back to their house for a visit mid way through our time in Germany....I know that the Latch system has weight limits in cars...based on the car. She looked through her whole manual and found NOTHING about the latch limit.....then she told me that if an adult were sitting in the back seat, in the middle...that the latch (the same one used for the car seats) is used to make a seatbelt...apparently the back middle seat, the seatbelt connects to the ceiling, and then to the latch to make a seatbelt...so it must be able to hold an adults weight......anyone know anything about this???

Honda has a 40 pound LATCH limit.

The seatbelt comes down to a buckle, not the lower anchor. The seatbelt is an independent unit from the lower anchors completely.

oh ok...well then my mom must be doing it incorrectly, because she swears that she uses the "latch" for the middle seat belt lol. (I haven't seen the car yet, but will be up there in about 10 days).....thanks for clarifying it
