Holy crap it works!!!

I can barely believe it myself but I got three car seats in the back of our new Passat without having to go buy new ones. I got a rear facing Complete Air in the middle with the seat belt and a locking clip, on the driver side I got a rear facing MyRide in with LATCH that literally fit base to base with the CA and the sides go up and over the sides of the CA. I didn't think it really worked when I looked at it but I took the CA out and the MR was still rock solid I swear I couldn't believe it. On the passenger side we got the Snugride 35 with base and installed with LATCH also solid when I tested it independently but when putting the seat on the base I do have to set it down exactly right or the CA gets in the way and it won't latch onto its base. But everything is secure and tight and independently so . I am changing our name to the Sardine Family though.

Congratulations!
Don't you just hate taking out seats to check for "independently tight"? Especially when seats overlap and certain ones have to be installed first? I mean, it's good in the end, but just a pain to have to undo and redo your hard work!

You might have more room with the Snugride if you install with the seatbelt and pull the base out toward the door an inch or two.

I would definitely love to see pictures.
