DD is 19months, 21.5lbs, and about 31". Currently she is in a Britax Diplomat but she has barely an inch over her head as far as I can tell. I was set on getting her a Radian XT but I just don't like the way it installs and fits in our car (2009 Forester).
This is where it gets difficult. I'm picky. I like my seats to have something "extra". I know they all pass the same safety testing, but I'm just like that .
So I guess my options are:
- get another Britax. The Advocate is the only one that you can rf to 35lbs in. I think it is normally overpriced however it is going to be on sale for $329 this weekend which is what I just paid for the Radian. Or I could get a Boulevard and just hope that by the time DD reaches 30lbs there is something better out there.
- get the Complete Air. I tried this already. It actually fit in our car in the center! Well, it would definitly need a couple noodles to get an acceptable angle, but I'm pretty sure it would have fit. I just didn't really like the seat. Compared to our Diplomat it just seemed sort of cheap.
- suck up my requirement of something "extra" and get the Truefit. I'm also not crazy about this seat. The Grandparents have it for DD so I've used it a bit with their car. I'm not crazy about the harness adjuster and I'm not crazy about the lack of SIP wings (even though I know she's already getting a lot of SIP protection just from being rearfacing).
- or something else I haven't thought of?
Please just help me decide so I can stop obsessing.
