HBB or 5 point?

For a kid who is turning 5 next month, would you be okay with him in a HBB for infrequent, short trips, or would a 5 point still be best? My son is about 45 lbs and not sure about height, but torso is 16-16.5 in. He is tall for his age. Currently riding in a MA (very close to being outgrown) and a GN. Just thinking about a HBB for carpooling or a short drive with grandparents. I would booster train him first. He would be okay sitting still in the booster. Thanks!

I agree. We love our Graco turbos. They are 2nd car/carpool for our younger 2. The turbos fit smaller kids well. Our kids have started using boosters part-time at about 4.5y.
