Great Deals on Regents-Old DOM?

I'll be needing a new seat for my 3.5 yr old soon. My oldest is in a Regent and I love that seat (so does he). When the Nautilus came out, and everyone was raving about it, I figured for the price, Id go that route when the time came, instead of another Regent. But now the Regent is $159 a few places online, so there is no longer a "pro" in price for me to try a Nautilus instead. But Im wondering: If the Regents are discontinued, when was production stopped, and will the $159 seats be really old DOM seats? TIA!

I *think* they will be about 1 year old.

Some people are getting them just a few months old, some a year. They continued to make seats until they ran out of already-produced covers, I believe.

I just ordered one about 2 weeks ago from albeebaby and the DOM is 8/31/09

I got in a wreck 5/28/09 and ordered a new regent from hipmonkey. They had to wait for the Regent to get there from Britax but I got a DOM mid to late April of 09 (so six weeks old when I got it! ) Surely you wouldn't get an older seat? You could email wherever you want to order from and ask a ballpark DOM before you order since you want to get the most use out of it possible.

Yeah, I think it depends who you order from. Some stores seem to still be getting stock, some have just what's stocked and that's it.
