Frontier 85 or Diono Monterey

Hi

My 6 year old is 45 inches and about 50lbs.

I just bought a frontier 85 and Monterey on a deal, now I need to decide which one to keep. I would try them in our car, but we are moving overseas so will have a new one.

He is still harnessed in an about to expire seat. I also bought a second frontier for my 4 year old, which I am keeping.

Should I keep the Monterey or the frontier?

I have a 4 month old and he is going in a radian after his bucket seat. My thought then was to move him to the frontier after my 6yo is old moves into backless.

Any thoughts would be great! TIA

The frontier is good for 9 yrs and can be used as a booster and since you have someone you could pass it down to I would keep the frontier and then buy a backless booster as your back up seat.

I would keep the Monterey and send back the FR85. If the child was 4? I would keep the FR85 but since he is 6, I would go monterey.

If you plan on using the FR 85 as a harness then you need to check out the seatbelt and or LATCH situation in the vehicle in your new country. We had a FR 85 for my son when we moved to Thailand, but due to vehicle incompatibility and since my son was not heavy enough to use it as a booster, we opted for a Monterey. I would keep the Monterey..
