Question For a friend, needs new seat.

I'm out of the loop too much to help her on this one. Her almost 3yo is RFing in an evenflo triumph advance and he is within an inch of the top of the shell now. She would like to continue RFing him, he is about 32lbs. She thinks the only thing taller would be the radian, but isn't very happy with those seats.

What would be taller than the TA for rearfacing him that would be enough to justify the purchase? They are limited by price some. Radian would be the top of their budget.

Thanks in advance for the input.

oh and she really dislikes her current graco seat and doesn't think she will like another graco. She said she liked the look of the newest graco convertible, but hates her current one enough to avoid it.

If he is only 32 pounds, the Truefit might keep him RF for a good while. I panicked and got a new seat when my daughter was 33 lbs at her 2 year appt, but she has gained barely a pound since then (although an inch and a half in height), so she is still RF in it in our spare car. She's close to 41 inches and still has a decent amount of height left despite her long torso. It's a wonderful seat other than that stinky 35lb RF limit.

I think Radian, MySize/Size4Me/Headwise and Foonf are about it. Maybe the newest Dorel (Advance Air Plus, or Air Avance Plus, or something?) I can't recall how much height it had, plus I'm assuming its standing weight height is 40". Likewise, the SureRide has a really tall shell, but a 37" standing height limit.

The best bang for her buck, heightwise, is going to be the S4M & clones. What Graco seat does she have, and what is it she hates about it? (I love love LOVE my MR, and my Nautilus, so I was excited about the S4M but I did not adore it. So it's possible the same will happen in reverse.)
