I think the ambassador is the same.

hey, if we're going with out much of a budget here... I love the olli... and the santa fe...

I also love the discontinued combi dakota (I still hate that they did that... cause I don't know what I'd do with Jeffrey otherwise...it fits so much better than other backless boosters that are heavier... and it has more leg support than the olli.

The literider is okay but I want something new darn it!

Well, you know, having missed most of the fun stuff and being late to the party NBB booster are pretty cheap in ccomparison to convertible and combo carseats. You could always have several.... :D

LOVE our Amp for our oldest DS. He has been in it FT since he turned 8. I like the HB TB for a backed booster, but when my middle DS outgrows it for height, I will get him an Amp too. I like that the Amp's arm rests don't have to be held in by a screw, that it's all one piece.

If you are going to use the booster to put in other peoples cars, I don't know if I would go for one with LATCH, they are heavier and not as portable for your son. My DS can easily put the Amp in someone else's car.

My friend has a Literider for a spare and really likes that. It fits into some crazy 3 across situations, so that might be something to be considered.

Believe it or not, it's the Harmony Literider/whatever it's called now. It provides the best lap belt fit, in every vehicle it's ever been in, I've ever seen (on my child, at least). It's light. It's narrow. It's under 14 bucks. We have several. It's just...good stuff.

The Monterey as a backless or the Sante Fe (same thing, really) come in second.

My 8 yr old is an Evenflo Amp lover, but hes tall and skinny and he likes the arms are up higher so its easy to get the seat belt under. He didn't like his literider because it was harder to get the seat belt under the arm thing.

Harmony Cruz. I just like it because it looks cool, and has absolutely divine curvy leg support. But it's kinda hard for my 5 yo to buckle because of the wrap around armrest-things. Amp or Santa Fe would be my next choices (I usually have a dozen backless boosters sitting around in my garage, but almost never use them, they are just easy to acquire and store )
